     1.4 +License information for hyph_pl.dic:
     1.5 +
1.6 +This file is based on the TeX hyphenation patterns distributed as part of the
     1.7 +hyph-utf8 package.
     1.8 +
1.9 +At the time of preparation, the original work was available from the texhyphen
    1.10 +SVN repository at:
    1.11 +http://tug.org/svn/texhyphen/trunk/hyph-utf8/tex/generic/hyph-utf8/patterns/?pathrev=659
    1.12 +
1.13 +The modifiers of this file give you the right to use, modify and distribute
1.14 +their changes in any way and for any purpose.
    1.15 +
1.16 +Portions of this file were originally made available under the following license
1.17 +(copied verbatim from hyph-pl.lic.txt in the original work):
    1.18 +
    1.19 +- - - - - - - - - -
    1.20 +

1.23 +(more info about the licence to be added later)
    1.24 +
1.25 +% This file is part of hyph-utf8 package and resulted from
    1.26 +% semi-manual conversions of hyphenation patterns into UTF-8 in June 2008.
    1.27 +%
    1.28 +% Source: plhyph.tex (1995-06-26)
1.29 +% Author: Hanna Kołodziejska, Bogusław Jackowski, Marek Ryćko
    1.30 +%
1.31 +% The above mentioned file should become obsolete,
1.32 +% and the author of the original file should preferaby modify this file instead.
    1.33 +%
1.34 +% Modificatios were needed in order to support native UTF-8 engines,
1.35 +% but functionality (hopefully) didn't change in any way, at least not intentionally.
1.36 +% This file is no longer stand-alone; at least for 8-bit engines
1.37 +% you probably want to use loadhyph-foo.tex (which will load this file) instead.
    1.38 +%
1.39 +% Modifications were done by Jonathan Kew, Mojca Miklavec & Arthur Reutenauer
    1.40 +% with help & support from:
1.41 +% - Karl Berry, who gave us free hands and all resources
1.42 +% - Taco Hoekwater, with useful macros
1.43 +% - Hans Hagen, who did the unicodifisation of patterns already long before
1.44 +% and helped with testing, suggestions and bug reports
1.45 +% - Norbert Preining, who tested & integrated patterns into TeX Live
    1.46 +%
1.47 +% However, the "copyright/copyleft" owner of patterns remains the original author.
    1.48 +%
1.49 +% The copyright statement of this file is thus:
    1.50 +%
1.51 +% Do with this file whatever needs to be done in future for the sake of
1.52 +% "a better world" as long as you respect the copyright of original file.
1.53 +% If you're the original author of patterns or taking over a new revolution,
1.54 +% plese remove all of the TUG comments & credits that we added here -
1.55 +% you are the Queen / the King, we are only the servants.
    1.56 +%
1.57 +% If you want to change this file, rather than uploading directly to CTAN,
1.58 +% we would be grateful if you could send it to us (http://tug.org/tex-hyphen)
    1.59 +% or ask for credentials for SVN repository and commit it yourself;
1.60 +% we will then upload the whole "package" to CTAN.
    1.61 +%
    1.62 +% Before a new "pattern-revolution" starts,
1.63 +% please try to follow some guidelines if possible:
    1.64 +%
    1.65 +% - \lccode is *forbidden*, and I really mean it
1.66 +% - all the patterns should be in UTF-8
1.67 +% - the only "allowed" TeX commands in this file are: \patterns, \hyphenation,
1.68 +% and if you really cannot do without, also \input and \message
    1.69 +% - in particular, please no \catcode or \lccode changes,
    1.70 +% they belong to loadhyph-foo.tex,
    1.71 +% and no \lefthyphenmin and \righthyphenmin,
1.72 +% they have no influence here and belong elsewhere
    1.73 +% - \begingroup and/or \endinput is not needed
1.74 +% - feel free to do whatever you want inside comments
    1.75 +%
1.76 +% We know that TeX is extremely powerful, but give a stupid parser
1.77 +% at least a chance to read your patterns.
    1.78 +%
1.79 +% For more unformation see
    1.80 +%
    1.81 +% http://tug.org/tex-hyphen
    1.82 +%
    1.83 +%------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    1.84 +%
1.85 +% This is PLHYPH.TeX - the Polish hyphenation patterns
    1.86 +% version 3.0a, Wednesday, May 17th, 1995
1.87 +% to be used for the inclusion of Polish hyphenation patterns in any format,
1.88 +% not necessarily in the MeX or LaMeX ones. The patterns are exactly
1.89 +% the same as in the version 3.0 being the part of the MeX package,
1.90 +% only the surrounding of the \pattern command is changed. The authors
1.91 +% claim the upward compatibility, i.e., the version 3.0a can also be used
1.92 +% with the MeX or LaMeX formats.
    1.93 +
1.94 +% The history of development of the Polish hyphenation patterns:
    1.95 +%
1.96 +% The first version of the patterns was developed
    1.97 +% by Hanna Kołodziejska (1987).
    1.98 +%
1.99 +% The adaptation to the LeX format (see below) and extensive modification
1.100 +% were done by Bogusław Jackowski & Marek Ryćko (1987--1989).
   1.101 +%
1.102 +% The hyphenation rules were further improved and adapted to the
   1.103 +% TeX 3.x requirements by Hanna Kołodziejska (1991).
   1.104 +%
1.105 +% Lone-standing version (3.0a) of patterns was prepared (under pressure
1.106 +% from LaTeX users) by Bogusław Jackowski and Marek Ryćko, following
   1.107 +% Mariusz Olko's suggestions, 1995.
   1.108 +
1.109 +% The LeX format mentioned above was the first version of the adaptation
1.110 +% of TeX to the Polish language. The next version is called MeX.
